Bow Hunt Whitetail Deer in Southern Illinois

The Hunt

 All bow hunting is done out of pre-hung commercial tree stands that are located over food plots, travel corridors and near bedding areas.  Morning hunts will generally be in wooded areas near bedding areas.  Afternoon hunts will generally be near or over feeding areas.

Our hunting area encompasses several counties in Illinois.  The terrain is diverse and includes river bottoms, crop land and timbered property.  This hunting area has a history of producing record class animals.

Harvest Plan

Our buck harvest plan has always been targeted toward 125" or better bucks.  To ensure the highest quality trophy potential for the future we have selected a number of properties to be managed more carefully.  These properties will have a 140" minimum size limit.  Hunters that shoot bucks that do not meet the minimum requirement will be charged $500.00 in addition to the hunt cost and possibly jeopardize future hunting privileges with Illinois Whitetail Services.  All other properties will be under our standard 125" minimum requirement recommendation for harvest with no financial penalties involved.

All Illinois Whitetail Services clients will have equal access to any of the properties described under the two management plans with the above understanding of conditions.

All measurements will be made using Pope & Young/Boone & Crocket gross score.
